| I am a retirred MD, PhD. After a long and fulfilling career as a University Professor and eventually Private Practcioner in OB/Gyn and Gynecologic Oncology, I now have the time to devote to my other love, the Arts. Ever since chldhood I have ben fascinated by the theater, film, and photography.I did semi-professional work on the stage as well as the screen in my country of origin, Sweden, but after moving to the United States, it was photography that became my hobby. Digital photography shed its baby clothes at about the same time that I retired from medicine. I felt like, I believe Ansel Adams would have, had he been alive; totally fascinated by the new avenues that opened up. Not only to enhance light, shadows and colors, but also to create images from the simple to the sublime and let pictures tell stories like never before. It was no easy task since I was computer illitterate. However through self studies and guidance from numerous workshops given by some of the masters, I have become pretty comfortable with Photoshop and other programs. I can let my imagination take off with no boundries and contribute to this completely new art form. Purists may frown, but to the open minded can let their imagination flow freely as I try to make something significant out of the insignificant. I like strong colors and filter effects, and in particular the mix of color and black and white. Enjoy and feel free to comment and critiziae! |
